The only North Koreans in the United States are about a dozen or so officials sent to represent Pyongyang at the United Nations. They live in an apartment tower on Roosevelt Island, a low-rent piece of land in the middle of the East River that used to be an asylum. Pretty grim. I used to tell my buddy, Han Song Ryol, that "you guys found the piece of America that looks most like Pyongyang!" He didn't think it was funny.
