Taking North Koreans to a New Jersey Nets game

This photo from January 1994 shows the first time North Korean ambassadors Ho Jong and Han Song Ryol ever came to Hackensack, New Jersey to enjoy the killer baby back ribs at Cubby's. I've got my arm around Ho Jong. Han's the chubby-faced one on the far right. Notice how they dress like FBI agents. Rodney Hampton and other members of the New York Giants escorted us to a basketball game. I told the North Koreans it was their "coming-out party." We got our little excursion covered by the Bergen Record. I figured if the North Koreans became less mysterious in the U.S., we were less likely to attack them.
